DemandForce // Design System, UI, & Branding
The ProJECT
To create a Design System for DemandForce based on improving current styles, UI elements, and indicators. I was a member of and lead a small team dedicated to this assignment.
The Process
Each member of the dedicated Design System team audited the backend dashboard of DemandForce’s website. My responsibility was to pull all of the buttons, tooltips, file uploaders, fonts, colors, tags, etc. that made up the dashboard. We all took screenshots of our assigned UI elements, compiled them in an Invision freehand board, and reviewed the results as a team. As the lead of the group, I helped determine which styles felt more on brand than others, which needed to be tweaked, and which needed to be scrapped altogether.
Below are screenshots of some of the examples pulled from the current website that needed to be reviewed, consolidated, and possibly redesigned.
More about my role
My contribution to the final Design System were the UI Elements below, as well as overseeing the project as a whole, making sure each UI element designed was in line with the brand and fit well with each of the others. The purpose of the Design System is to have every instance of every UI element already designed. These elements can be a library for designing new products and applications on the website, streamline everyone’s work, and maintain a strong consistency between each project.
